Siblings at Webb are not uncommon. Being a younger sibling
at Webb you get compared to a lot even held to the standards of your
sister. Throughout my time, I have heard “Oh your Cat’s younger brother
we should call you Kitty” “If Cathy shaved off her heard I swear she
would look just like you” and even an occasional “Oh, hi Cathy."
Despite having to get over the traumatizing comparisons and the shocking OH YOU’RE CATHY’S BROTHER
that happens at the beginning of every year, having a sibling is
helpful in order to get out of Webb alive. We share our memories, good
and bad, when we’re not busy with our own lives.
Having siblings at Webb is not always the greatest thing in
the world. I hope the paragraph above did not convince you to tell your
parents to have another sibling just to come to Webb. Thing can get well
awkward at best. Like the awkward eye contact at dances or when
teachers call you by Cathy’s name especially in foreign language class.
Sometimes, our parents even mix up our names and yell at me Cathy’s
Chinese name, “Zhang Li Yen,” when she wants me to hurry up.
So does having a sibling suck? Sometimes. Does it have its
benefits? Yes. So yes, I am Cathy’s brother and yes, we do look alike.
That’s kind of what happens when we come from the same parents.
